Half-Life

Half-life is an exploration of how consumerist culture redefines geographies, examining how short-lived trends generate lasting fixtures that shape our landscapes. Each forsaken place offers stories of how they’ve been transformed by time, nature, and man-made interference. These empty structures will permanently shape the environment on which they rest—a reminder of what once was and the enduring effects of momentary consumer demands.

Half-life is currently on display at the Hanes Art Center for UNC’s 2022 Senior Exhibition.
